With a solid academic background in law and international management, he has held key positions such as President of the Bar Association of the City of Buenos Aires and currently serves as the head of BYMA (Bolsas y Mercados Argentinos). Academic Background and Early Career

Guillermo Lipera earned his law degree in 1983 from the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina (UCA). He furthered his education with postgraduate studies at prestigious international institutions: he completed the Senior Management Program (PAD) at IAE Business School in 2001, attended “Leading Professional Service Firms” at Harvard Business School in 2005, participated in the “Global CEO” program at IESE Business School in 2007, and joined the “Leadership in Law Firms” course at Harvard Law School in 2009.

He began his professional career at the National Criminal Court (Letter K Division) between 1982 and 1986. He later joined Bulló Abogados, where he served as Managing Partner until 2023, and currently remains as a senior consultant.

Leadership in the Legal Field

Lipera has played a significant role in legal institutions. He served as President of the Bar Association of the City of Buenos Aires starting in 2015. He also co-founded and presided over the civil association Será Justicia, an organization focused on promoting judicial independence and institutional transparency.

In his institutional role, he has been a vocal critic of corruption within the Argentine judiciary. In 2019, while serving as president of the Bar Association, he filed for the impeachment of federal judge Luis Rodríguez, who was accused of accepting bribes.

Beyond the legal sphere, Lipera has been actively involved in Argentina’s business development. He was Director at the Institute for Business Development of Argentina (IDEA), where he participated in organizing forums and public policy debates focused on economic growth.
