Leandro Cahn is a political scientist, public policy specialist, and the current Executive Director of Fundación Huésped. Since 2017, he has led one of Argentina’s most influential organizations in the fields of public health and human rights, with a focus on HIV, vaccines, comprehensive sex education (ESI), and diversity. His profile combines institutional management, strategic communication, and political advocacy, along with a strong public presence and a deep commitment to comprehensive sexual education.

Education and early career

Leandro Cahn holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Buenos Aires and a Master’s in Administration and Public Policy from Universidad de San Andrés. He began his professional career at Fundación Cáncer (FUCA), working in the press and communications department. He later joined Fundación Huésped, where he helped strengthen the Communications and Resource Development area. In 2001, he served as Communications Director for the first International AIDS Society (IAS) Conference on HIV Pathogenesis and Treatment. He has also worked as a consultant for international organizations such as the International AIDS Society and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

Leadership at Fundación Huésped

Since November 2017, Leandro Cahn has served as Executive Director of Fundación Huésped. Under his leadership, the foundation has expanded its scope beyond HIV/AIDS to include other critical public health areas such as viral hepatitis, vaccine-preventable diseases, and sexual and reproductive rights. The organization has strengthened its role in civil society, leading prevention campaigns, educational programs, and advocacy initiatives focused on human rights.

Commitment to Comprehensive Sex Education

Leandro Cahn is co-author of the books “ESI: A Basic Guide for Schools and Families” and “From Boys to Men: A Comprehensive Sex Education Guide to Work with Boys in Schools and Families”, both published by Siglo XXI. Leandro Cahn is married to Sol and is the father of two children. A passionate supporter of the San Lorenzo football club, he also enjoys running half-marathons and playing soccer with friends.
