
Luciano Crisafulli
Luciano Crisafulli is an Argentine economist specializing in public innovation and economic development. Known for leading CorLab at the Municipality of Córdoba, he played a pivotal role in the creation of the first public GovTech investment fund in Latin America. His approach blends public management, technology, and entrepreneurial ecosystems, positioning Córdoba as a model city for urban innovation.

Academic Background and Early Career
Crisafulli holds a degree in Economics from the National University of Córdoba. He furthered his education with a Master’s in Political Management with a focus on Public Administration from the Catholic University of Córdoba, and another Master’s in Economic Development in Latin America from the International University of Andalusia. His professional journey began as a research economist at the IERAL of the Mediterranean Foundation, where he participated in national and international research projects.
Leadership in Public Innovation: CorLab and Córdoba GovTech
For five years, Crisafulli led CorLab, the Public Innovation Lab of the Municipality of Córdoba. Under his leadership, the Córdoba GovTech program was launched and later awarded the LATAM Smart City Awards in 2024. This initiative fostered partnerships between government and tech startups to co-create innovative solutions to urban challenges.
He also spearheaded the creation of the Córdoba Smart City Fund—the first public GovTech investment fund in Latin America—which, since 2022, has invested $2 million in 22 startups focused on public impact technologies.
Role in the Cities Coalition for Artificial Intelligence (CIIAR)
Currently, Crisafulli serves as Director of the Cities Coalition for Artificial Intelligence in Argentina (CIIAR). This initiative promotes the integration of AI into urban governance with the goal of enhancing the quality of life for citizens through smarter, more efficient public services.
Teaching and Leadership Development
Alongside his work in government, Crisafulli has taught postgraduate courses at Blas Pascal University and the National University of Córdoba, focusing on innovation and economic development. He has also served as an instructor in the Governance and Public Innovation Diploma program organized by CAF (Development Bank of Latin America) and the Federal Institute of Government.
